Trash in the Woods

Today, I had to go to the store. Instead of driving, I decided I would
walk and take a detour into the woods. I took a few different paths I
already know of and found and took a path I'd never noticed before. As I
was trying to navigate and avoid the branches, twigs, thorns, and holes
in the ground, I suddenly noticed that there was trash everywhere.
Empty bottles, candy wrappers, articles of clothing, paper, and other
stuff was just lying around. There was a lot of it. What's really
strange, though, is that except for one time, I've never encountered
anyone in these woods, and I hike in the woods a lot. That means that
whoever goes in there is too lazy to take their trash out with them,
they don't care at all about the environment, and there are a lot of
people who do this. I also notice that there's nobody to clean the mess
up. I guess those woods represent peoples' attitudes towards the Earth
and their lack of respect and lack of caring for what they aren't
interested in...
